he Studied at the Kyiv drawing school (1890-е) Н. И. Мурашко in the Academy of fine arts in Krakow (1899-1904).

he Lived in Kiev (until 1918, 1923), Vinnitsa (1918-1922). Designed performances for the Ukrainian drama theater Н. К. Садовского in Kiev (1907-1918), from 1912 — the main artist of the theater. He created sketches of costumes and scenery for the performances: "Sava Chaly" И. К. Карпенко-Карого (1907), "Viy" М. Л. Кропивницкого, "Natalka Poltavka" И. П. Котляревского (1912), "Oh, don't go, grits-do not..." М. П. Старицкого (1914), "Stone Lord" Lesya Ukrainka" (1914), "the Night before Christmas" based on the novel Н. В. Гоголя (1915) and others. In 1918-1922 — artist troupe of the Ukrainian people's Home in Vinnitsa. He designed the performances "Cossack beyond the Danube" С. С. Гулак-Артемовского (1921), "the Auditor" Н. В. Гоголя (1922).

In 1920-30-е worked in various theaters of Kyiv: in Ukrainian drama theatre. М. К. Заньковецкой (1922-1923), the Russian drama theatre, Opera and ballet, Kyiv theatre of musical Comedy.

he Painted landscapes and portraits. Author paintings: "Weeds", "Wheat", "Steppe", "Meadow", "Spring", "Courtyard", "Levada", "Pub", "Summer", "Autumn", "Horse (all — 1900-10-е).

Together with Ф. С. Красицким and А. Г. Сластионом (Sectionalism) published the magazine "Hornet" (1906); in it published cartoons. Drew for the magazine "Vsesvit" (1913), the newspaper "Soviet village" (1924-1925), "the rural newspaper" (1927-1928). He drew illustrations to the books: "For Koliivschina" М. Ф. Левицкого (1907), "Works" И. П. Котляревского (1909, 1918), "Fables" Л. И. Глебова" (1910), "Arabian tales" (1911).

From 1905 — participated in exhibitions. Exhibited: 1-й Ukrainian art exhibition (1911), the exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian composer Н. В. Лысенко (1927) in Kiev; "Artist today" in Kharkov (1927), and others.

Work is represented in many Museum collections, among them — national art Museum of Ukraine, national Museum. Т. Г. Шевченко in Kiev.
